Technology that helps Visualy Impaired people



Researchers at Universidad carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) have developed an assistive technology system that works by sounds which contribute to the autonomy of person with visual impairments.  
 The system consist of stereo vision processor that measures the difference of image captured by two cameras that are placed slightly apart and calculates distance to each point in the scene. Then it transmits the information to the user by means of sound. Information regarding the obstacle
