The prototype called "All See" uses existing TV signals as both a power source and means for detecting a user's gesture command.
Washington's computer scientist have built a low cost gesture control system that runs without battery.The researchers built a small sensor that can be placed on an electronic device.
The sensor uses an ultra low power receiver to extract and classify gesture information.
Gesture recognition already is possible on some mobile devices but if it is left ON it drains the phone's battery but All See consumes only 10milliWatts power.
This technology could allow sensors to be attached to household electronics, thereby we can control them by our gesture itself.
